The Vine

Making the Connection

The Vine believes our world today is ‘upside down.' For one thing, many people are disconnected to others. How many of us don’t even know our Rototuna neighbours living just across the fence? And how crazy is that!?

How many of us can remember a time – perhaps when we were young – when our extended families spent a lot more time together?  Neighbours never hesitated to drop in for a coffee.  And our parents and grandparents made it a priority to visit with family and friends.

Today, we are all busy working long hours, running kids to sport and school activities and trying to cram in all our favourite hobbies on the weekends. There’s barely a moment to stop and think – let alone spend quality time with our friends, family and neighbours.  And spending time with God comes in a distance last . . . if it even happens at all.

The Vine wants to turn this ‘upside down’ world ‘right-side up.’ We want to help the people in Rototuna, Hamilton Make the Connection to a strong, fun community that is welcoming, safe and friendly.

We believe the first step toward creating this ‘right-side up’ community is Making the Connection with Jesus and living the community values He teaches us. When we have a relationship with Jesus and friendships with people who believe in the same values, our lives will have more value and purpose.

If you’d like to take the first step on the journey toward creating a ‘right-side up’ life for yourself, then please contact The Vine Pastor Ross Woodhouse on 027 692 0726 or email info@vine.org.nz.  Let us help you Make the Connection.
