Following the retirement of our wonderful Information Specialist superstar Gay Richards, we are delighted to introduce Branka Bogdan who is stepping into the role.

In Branka’s words:
“Kia ora koutou, I’m Branka and I’m delighted to be Vine’s new Information Specialist. I have a background across the community and academic sectors, both here in Aotearoa and in Australia, and have spent much of my career researching and writing about women’s rights and their experiences of reproductive care and health. I’m passionate about making information accessible and believe that good information can be empowering. My role at Vine brings together this passion with my professional background in a way that feels like a really natural fit.
A little about me. I was born and raised in Serbia and have spent the last three decades living between Aotearoa and Australia. Outside of work, I’m happiest spending time outdoors, camping with my family, hiking and exploring places where there’s very little phone reception. I’m also very fond of food. I love baking and cooking for people, and sharing food with friends and family is probably one of my favourite ways of spending time with them.”
In her role as Information Specialist, Branka manages the Vine library and online database, maintains our Knowledge Hub, and serves as the key point of contact for information about family violence and sexual violence. You can reach out to Branka if you would like help finding specific research or information at info@vine.org.nz.
