About the library
There are over 7000 records in the library database. Most of the items are freely available online. The physical library contains almost 2000 books, reports, theses, dissertations, DVDs and other resources. You can borrow these items, if they are not available online. The database also includes citation information for some journal articles and books which are behind paywalls. We ae not able to provide access to these items

How to search library
Quick topic search
Use the topic links to do a quick search on frequently searched topics. The most recently published material will be listed first. Use the options on the left of the results page to refine your search.
Search by keyword
A keyword search finds items when the word or phrase appears anywhere in the library record (including title, abstract and subject headings).
Search in te reo Māori
You can search our library by te reo Māori words or phrases. You can also search our library using te reo Māori topic terms. See a list of topic terms and learn more.

How to borrow
You can borrow books, DVDs, and other items. When you find an item you wish to borrow, click on the ‘Request this item’ button to email us your request. You will need to provide your name, address, email, phone number, and a referee contact.
The loan period is four weeks and only available to New Zealand residents. There is no charge for postage, but you may need to cover the return postage cost.
