We are looking for an Information Specialist to join Vine – Violence Information Aotearoa, New Zealand’s national centre for family violence and sexual violence research and information.
This is a part-time (0.6–0.8 FTE / 22.5–30 hours per week) permanent position.
In this role you will be responsible for developing and managing Vine’s information and library services, including a specialised collection of physical and digital resources. You will support the collection, organisation and dissemination of research and information for a wide range of users, including practitioners, researchers, policymakers and communities.
Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you will contribute across a range of activities, including:
- Maintaining and developing Vine’s information collection and retrieval systems
- Responding to information requests, from quick queries through to more in-depth research
- Curating and sharing content, including newsletters, bibliographies and web content
- Supporting the accessibility and usability of Vine’s online knowledge resources
- Building relationships with stakeholders across the sector
The role blends elements of librarianship with subject-focused work. While you will build knowledge in the family and sexual violence space over time, you will bring strong research capability, sound judgement, and the ability to engage with complex and sensitive information.
