We are looking for a Māori Research Lead to drive te ao Māori knowledge translation and mobilisation across Vine’s programme of work. In this role you will help ensure mātauranga Māori and kaupapa Māori research is visible, accessible and influential – supporting better responses to violence and improved outcomes for whānau Māori.

This is a part-time (0.6 FTE / 22.5 hours per week), fixed-term role for 12 months.

We are looking for someone who has a strong grounding in kaupapa Māori research and an understanding of the family and/or sexual violence environment. You’re confident working with diverse audiences and translating evidence into forms that are practical, relevant and mana-enhancing.

Our preferred candidate will have a relevant postgraduate degree and will bring:

• Knowledge of mātauranga and tikanga Māori, including kaupapa Māori knowledge mobilisation

• Experience in family and/or sexual violence research, policy or practice

• Established relationships with hapori Māori, researchers or sector stakeholders

• The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly across different groups

• Experience contributing to written, digital or face-to-face knowledge sharing
