National Online Hui: Strengthening family and sexual violence prevention in ethnic communities
About event organiser
Shama Ethnic Women's Trust provides specialist support for those experiencing violence, taking a holistic approach to the needs of women, their children and families. Shama is also a community hub for hundreds of ethnic families in the Kirirkiriroa |Hamilton area, providing peer-to-peer support for ethnic women through their regular crafts, cooking, and parent support classes.

At this event, attendees will hear about different prevention initiatives currently underway in and undertaken by different ethnic communities across Aotearoa.
The meeting will centre the voices, strengths and leadership of ethnic communities in prevention and will provide a space to connect and share with others.
