The New Zealand Centre for Human-Animal Studies brings together scholars from the humanities and social sciences whose research and teaching is concerned with the conceptual and material treatment of nonhuman animals in culture, society, and history.

The Department of Human Services at the University of Canterbury equips students to work with people to create healthy lives and communities, and to make positive impacts in the world.
