This two day ‘train-the-trainers’ workshop has been designed to assist those individuals wanting to upskill and deliver training sessions for their workplace colleagues, their local community agencies or for those wanting to provide training as part of their training business.

The focus of this workshop will be ‘an introduction to family violence’ with a focus on intimate partner violence.  The session will cover various definitions, prevalence, signs and symptoms and demonstrate some tools to help understand the dynamics associated with intimate partner violence within the context of family violence.

The workshop will provide an opportunity to:

  • Review ‘training materials’ with a view that attendees will have increased confidence to present relevant information to their intended audience
  • Provide an opportunity for interactive feedback and group discussions about improving training outcomes, such as providing a safe training environment, responding to common questions and dealing with disclosures.

Please direct all question to the organiser at: robveale@xtra.co.nz.
