About the event

This session follows on from the earlier Family Violence kite and toolbox session held in October last year. It is based on the in-flight emergency principle: “Fit on your own oxygen mask before attempting to help anyone else put it on” The presenter, Andy Giblin, will encourages participants to take a look at themselves while professionally engaged in helping others. In the process he demonstrates how the tools used with clients (some of which he introduced in Session #1) are universally applicable. This workshop invites practitioners to self-reflect and strengthen their own foundations while developing their clinical framework.

The session will start with a recap of the first session in 2025 wherein Andy gave an overview of the dynamics of family violence and provided skills and resources to respond to and support victims of family violence.

Venue: Westport Bridge Club, 12A Lyndhurst Street, Westport.
