Whāraurau has invited Miles Usherwood from Gender Dynamix to share knowledge about transitioning and working with trans clients.
This session will introduce attendees to a variety of beginner-level information, including up-to-date inclusive language, welcoming workplaces, different parts of transition, and cisgender privilege. Attedness will leave with a better understanding of how to appropriately work with gender diverse clients.
Learning outcomes:
- Develop a better understanding of gender-diverse identities
- Use correct and up-to-date language when speaking about gender-diverse people
- Learn tangible skills for fostering a safe and welcoming environment
- Learn and uphold allyship in different ways
