Join members of the Whāraurau youth advisory team and the National Youth Consumer Advisor Network (NYCAN) for this one-hour online session exploring current issues affecting young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
The session aims to create space for honest conversation and will encourage participants to reflect on how incorporating youth perspectives can strengthen everyday practice.
Presenters will share national youth perspectives on topics such as:
- What young people value most in mental health and addiction services
- Barriers to accessing support
- How we can make services feel safe, welcoming, and relevant for young people
- The emerging issues impacting young people, including social media, housing, cost of living, identity, belonging, and connection
- How services can partner more effectively with young people
